RhinoMarine Performance Analysis
|
Drag Reduction Analysis During the design process, it's important to optimize many aspects of the vessel, including minimizing drag. The RhinoMarine Planing Analysis, in addition to predicting the drag and effective horsepower as a function of speed also provides insight into how to modify the design to lower the drag. Four parameters are examined at the Design Speed; Effective Planing Beam, Effective Deadrise Angle, the location of the Longitudinal Center of Gravity, and the Shaft Angle. For each parameter, advice is given on how to change these parameters (Increase/Decrease), and on the sensitivity of the results to changes. This allows you to concentrate on those parameters that will have the largest effect on the performance of the vessel.
