RhinoMarine Hydrostatics & Stability

Flexible Output Options

Ease of use, speed, and accuracy are hallmarks of RhinoMarine's hydrostatics and stability analysis. Another important aspect is the output and presentation of the data.

In addition to the basic integrated properties, RhinoMarine reports a wide array of data to help you really understand the characteristics of your design, in an easy-to-read and professional format. For example, as the vessel heels, not only is the trim angle reported, but also the vertical motion of the center of gravity and the angle of the neutral axis (a measure of the tendency to trim as the vessel heels).

In order to help visualize the equilibrium flotation plane, RhinoMarine offers two options. First, the model can be moved in the coordinate system so that the waterplane is represented by the Z=0 plane. Or, a flat surface can be inserted in the model that represents the equilibrium flotation plane.

RhinoMarine creates a formatted output of the results of your computation in your web browser. This easy-to-read format can be modified by the user through the use of XML style sheets, and includes your own company name and logo.

Finally, data may also be exported to an Excel® spreadsheet, where it is both tabulated and plotted. Any further calculations that you desire may be done quickly by simply entering formulas into the spreadsheet.
